Former Student

I met Dr. Bush during my time at ECPI University. I am a former student who had the opportunity to learn from him. As a professor, he not only challenged us academically, but he challenged us personally. His passion for educating students, as well as his passion for continuing his own academic journey, is inspiring and makes him an exceptional educator.

Dr. Bush has been one of the most encouraging and supportive instructor I have had. To this day, he continues to challenge me and offer support in helping me achieve my career goals. Dr. Bush has a way of making his students thrive past anything they thought imaginable. The class I had with him was a careers-focused class.  Every person in the room was in a very different place with our lives. Somehow, he managed to meet each of us where we were. He took the time to help each of us develop a path for ourselves; making sure we had a clear vision of what our personal goals were, and then guiding us to map out how to accomplish our goals....

Previous Coworker

I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Darren Bush for two years at ECPI University. We worked most closely together on several projects and initiatives together while I was in my role as student services coordinator.

Dr. Bush is an educator beloved by his students and colleagues. This is due to the time and effort he takes to make deep connections and get to know what motivates each individual he interacts with. I’ve watched him help students take business ideas and turn them into a flourishing student clubs – giving them agency and real-world experiences that they will take with them into their future careers. He is quick to step in and assist, especially with first-year colleges students and nontraditional students. The challenges he is willing to help a student tackle prove his dedication to his craft.
